Subsentio Academy offers several levels of Cellular Analysis classes that are all taught in person and are vendor neutral. Subsentio Academy provides this training to authorized law enforcement personnel, prosecutor’s office investigators and intel analysts. Students will receive training that can provide increased case solvability, offender identification and leading to greater prosecutorial success.
Our Level 1 Course, Fundamentals of Cellular Analysis, has received the National Certification Program (NCP) Seal of excellence from the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST). If your state recognizes NCP courses, you could receive in-service training hours for attending the course.
Overview: Subsentio Academy currently offers 4 levels of training on Cellular Analysis:
Level 1: Fundamentals of Cellular Analysis – 3-day course
The best learning occurs by doing. The courses begin with classroom instruction and real-world examples of how to employ the techniques that prepare students for multiple practical exercises. The exercises form the corner stone of our course and provide the repetitions and experience investigators can utilize immediately.
Training will result in an increase of evidence rich cellular and digital data leading to greater offender identification, case solvability, prosecutorial success, officer awareness and safety, and public safety.
INSTRUCTORS:
Standard sized class will be taught by two former FBI CAST Certified Instructors with multiple years of experience in Cellular Investigations, Testimony, and Law Enforcement Instruction. The PCA Team Members are all certified CAST experts. They pride themselves in providing customers with the highest level of professional service available in this industry. LIMITED AUDIENCE:
All participants are sworn law enforcement and/or authorized criminal intel-analysts, whose primary function is criminal investigations. This includes police officers, detectives, prosecutor’s office investigators and intelligence analysts. Participants may have no prior experience with cellular data evidence, communications technology, or preparing court orders. Participants’ professional knowledge can range from entry-level to experienced investigators.
Subsentio Academy Courses
LEVEL 1 - FUNDAMENTALS OF CELLULAR ANALYSIS
Level 1 Nationally Certified
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Students will obtain a basic understanding of cellular network operations, radio frequency propagation, and cell phone provider operations. Students will learn what information is available from each cell phone provider, how to obtain that information, and how that information appears in their respective records. Training will be provided on additional sources of information related to phones but not specifically from cell phone providers such as Google, Apple, and various Apps.
PROJECTED TRAINING TIME:
This course includes 24 hours of instruction and practical exercises. Allowing for administrative and other matters, the course will occupy 3 full (8 hour) duty days.
Students will review concepts from Level 1 Fundamentals of Cellular Analysis including cellular network operations, radio frequency propagation, and cell phone provider operations. Students will build on the knowledge learned in the Level 1 class or an equivalent course. Topics include advanced techniques using data available from cellular providers and App providers. Course includes numerous detailed practical exercises and real-world case examples.
PROJECTED TRAINING TIME:
This course includes 40 hours of instruction and practical exercises. Allowing for administrative and other matters, the course will occupy 5 full (8 hour) duty days.
5 DAY COURSE – IN PERSON INSTRUCTION WITH PREREQUISITES
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Students will review concepts from Level 1 “Fundamentals of Cellular Analysis” and Level 2 “Advanced Cellular Analysis”. Students will build on the knowledge learned in the first 2 courses and work complex and detailed practical exercises that focus on crisis events such as kidnappings, active shooter, and fugitive searches. Training is conducted in a command post setting.

This course includes 40 hours of instruction and practical exercises. Allowing for administrative and other matters, the course will occupy 5 full (8 hour) duty days.
5 DAY COURSE – IN PERSON INSTRUCTION WITH PREREQUISITES
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Students will review concepts and build on the knowledge learned in the first 3 courses and work complex and detailed case scenarios while being conducted in a courtroom setting. Practical exercises include expert witness testimony, cross examination and the use of roll players.
